Ukrainan parlamentti on hyväksynyt kansallisia vähemmistöjä koskevan lain, kertoi kansanedustaja Jaroslav Železnjak. Lakiesityksen puolesta äänesti lopullisessa käsittelyssä 266 kansanedustajaa.
Zelenski julkistaa "Carpathian Eight" (C8) -formaatin.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed to Publika that Hungarian journalist László Róbert Mézes has been detained. The ministry stated that the journalist was in Georgia without legal grounds and had exceeded his permitted stay in the country.
Magyar Peter: The collapse of Fidesz, the former governing party, continues to accelerate. Péter Szijjártó, the former Foreign Minister, who has long been accused of serving foreign interests, officially announced today that he is leaving politics to become the head of a Chinese company for which he previously secured substantial Hungarian state subsidies. The only difference is that, from now on, Hungarian taxpayers will no longer be paying @FM_Szijjarto for the same "work" — his actual employer will. In hindsight, it may now be obvious even to Fidesz voters whose interests the former Foreign Minister of the ousted Orbán government was actually serving in connection with the multi-trillion-forint battery and automotive investments
Hungary's state propaganda media went off air as Péter Magyar's government appointed temporary leadership. Orbán-era propagandists were fired, and M1, the main news channel, is now airing an apology for lying for 15 years
Tens of thousands marched in the Pride Parade in Budapest yesterday, a year after Orban's government banned it and even tried to impeach the mayor who held it despite the ban.
Péter Magyar's Hungarian government has dismissed every Orbán-era director-general of the intelligence agencies. Overseeing the shake-up is Péter Buda, a respected former counterintelligence officer and vocal critic of Orbán's pro-Russian foreign policy
Hungarian security sources told there's no indication of sabotage or hostile actors such as Russia behind it: an explosion at MOL's Tiszaújváros refinery killed 1 and seriously injured 9 during a unit restart. PM Péter Magyar confirmed the fire was contained
Magyar Péter: Viktor Orbán, who, on paper, owns almost nothing, would be entitled to 38,801,013 HUF in severance pay under the very law he introduced - for plundering our country. He will not receive it
Péter Magyar after his meeting with Hungary's President Tamás Sulyok: He should be voluntarily leaving his office. If he does not leave voluntarily, we will use the mandate given to us by the voters. Through constitutional amendments and the necessary legal changes, we will remove him from office. We will remove him and all the other puppets appointed by the Orbán system
Ukrainan presidentti Volodymyr Zelenskyi ilmoitti tiistaina, että Moskovan iskuissa vaurioitunut venäläistä öljyä Ukrainan kautta Unkariin ja Slovakiaan kuljettava öljyputki avataan uudelleen huhtikuun loppuun mennessä.
Péter Magyar: Russia is a security risk — and everyone knows it. I am not speaking about the Russian people — they are fantastic people — but about the Russian state. In Hungarian history, we have felt the Russian bear before. Europe must prepare. Europe must protect and defend itself
Péter Magyar: Ukraina on tämän sodan uhri.
In his first press conference since his election victory in Hungary, Péter Magyar addressed the departure from the International Criminal Court in The Hague: "It is impossible to stop the process of leaving, but we will submit a request to rejoin it."
Peter Magyar told reporters today that the outgoing Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, who had disappeared since yesterday's election, has resurfaced at the Foreign Ministry today and is shredding documents related to sanctions
The Kremlin will not congratulate Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar on his victory in the parliamentary elections. "We don't send congratulations to unfriendly countries. And Hungary is an unfriendly country; it supports sanctions against us," said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
PM-elect Péter Magyar calls on President Tamás Sulyok to resign from his position as president. Magyar further calls for the resignation of the leaders of the judicial bodies and the Prosecutor General: "If they do not submit their resignations, the next government will remove them from office."
